Newspaper notice of the death of Mrs. Sylvina Van Benthuysen, who died August 13, 1853 aged 87. Gives information on her mother who was a niece of the King of Angola and was taken prisoner in war and sold into slavery. Purchased in New York by John Bennett of Red Hook.
