"This Indenture made this 21th day of May A.D. 1874,
Between . . . the heirs at law of Sarah Martin . . . and
Alexander Gilson . . . in consideration of Two Thousand
Dollars ($2000) to them duly paid have sold and by
these presents do grant and convey to the said party . . .
All that certain . . . lot of land”
