Located on the grounds of Bard College, Blithewood is a walled Italianate garden designed by Francis L. V. Hoppin, of the architectural firm Hoppin & Koen for Captain Andrew C. Zabriskie and his wife, Frances Hunter Zabriskie. This photo shows some of the structural damage that is necessitating the restoration program planned by the Friends of the Landscape and Arboretum Program at Bard and the Garden Conservancy.
